Congratulations to Dr Shiyao Li on being awarded a 2026 Harold Mitchell Travel Fellowship.
The fellowship allows emerging researchers the opportunity to travel globally to attend in-person conferences and visit renowned laboratories overseas to advance their research.
Dr Li, postdoctoral researcher in the Nanomedicine & Gene Therapeutics Laboratory, shares what this award means to her:

Dr Li is planning a trip to the United States in 2027 to attend a conference and visit laboratories at leading universities.
“The fellowship will support my attendance at the 2027 Cancer Nanotechnology Gordon Research Conference and Seminar, where I plan to present our work on targeted mRNA–lipid nanoparticles for intracellular antibody delivery.”
“I am also excited about building new international collaborations, experiencing the biotechnology ecosystem around MIT and Kendall Square, and bringing new knowledge and perspectives back to ONJCRI to support the development of clinically translatable RNA nanomedicines for cancer.”
The Harold Mitchell Travel Fellowships are provided by the Harold Mitchell Foundation, giving young scientists much-needed opportunities to travel and expand their research horizons.
